I owe you all an apology
I’m back from the dead, again.
I want to say I’m sorry for not being either here or on DA the past several months. I should’ve because I actually have been making things. Let’s start from the beginning. Back in June my neighborhood had it’s yearly yard sale day where everyone has their yard sale at the same time essentially turning the neighborhood into a market place. During that I figured I’d try and sell some of my art and see what happens. The pokemon fan art I post back then was just that actually.
I ended up getting the attention of a guy running a new fandom convention in my town called Fannexus and he wanted me to join in as an artisan vendor. I had never done anything like that before and I was shocked that they like my work that much. I ended up spending my time since making fan art for it until it’s date of October 6th-8th.
So why hadn’t I posted any of it on here after making each?
The thought crossed my mind a lot. It’s just...I was scared. When I deal with new situations my mind goes straight to worst case scenarios. I was scared that if I posted them on here and said I was selling them at a con, I would be told I wasn’t good enough and had wasted money getting a spot that could’ve gone to a better artist. I’ve always had doubt about my skills as an artist; I didn’t want to hear that, I didn’t even want to think about that possibility.
Looking back on it now I was being irrational; I didn’t think about how it affected you guys. And I’m sorry.
I’ll be posting all of the art work over the next few days.
Back to the convention, as it turned out I had nothing to worry about. I had a fantastic time and met many good people. I’ll post the photos I took on the last day when I can.
