I decided just to buy the Fannywang 3001's in the end.
One of those classic "Buy now, worry later" type scenario's.
Better news is that they'll arrive before my birthday. Bad news is, i'm currently ill and I hope i'll be better before then.
I'm looking to upgrade my headphones (quite a lot) as I use my current ones loads for music on my computer and for films etc. So It doesn't disturb my family plus it sounds a tonne better than my t.v speakers lol. Anyway so I was looking into buying some wireless ones so that i could actually move more freely around my bedroom and possibly even downstairs, still having music going. Then I realised that I'd be spending almost £100 on a pair of headphones that would be "pretty good for occasional music listening" when I could spend maybe an extra £50 and get something very fucking sexy in comparison to what I have currently. So, I stumbled across FannyWang headphones and already i'm sold. I had a look at some review videos and people are saying that they are actually marginally better than Dre Beats. (I understand that the rivalry is similar to Xbox vs Playstation lol). But from the reviews I read/saw, a lot of people really rate their headphones quite highly.
Now, the problem Is, I've asked for a sound bar for my t.v for my birthday in 8 days. My argument to myself would be "Why do you need headphones when you'll have better sound quality from your new soundbar?!". My response is "When I watch films with Jenna, which is a fair bit of time, we can't share a pair of headphones. A sound bar is more practical when there are two of us...obviously. But i'm so torn between getting them and not getting them because they're probably the most expensive accessory i've ever fucking bought in my entire life.
Which brings me to my next point. If I purchase the headphones from the fannywang website, it seems that I can pay in USD which means that I would get some discount in the form of the awesome exchange rate. Instead of being £300 they're about £180 inc. shipping of £40.
Do you have any recommendations for another set of headphones?
or tell me your view on my terrible impulse spending?
