Rage Fanset Art Drafts, Sketches, and Doodles: Call of the Sea

Warning: All of these are subject to change. Also I had to hit exposure a lot to get these dark enough to view. Since even my darker pencil marks still come up light in the scanner. And because I have a whole month: I'm going back to painting. I'll be doing color theory versions of those too.

But you get to glimpse in how my mind works sometimes.

So in grabbing the first five cards, I write out the names and art notes on them. Then I start doodling. Sometimes, the first doodle or first image I have in my head is strong enough to get to draft form. Note the shark that's breathing fire. Others may need more work or various doodles to figure out how I want to do them. Even in draft form: They may be scrapped or altered to the point where they don't look the same anymore.

Okay, The Black Shark Draft:

Crushing Depths Draft:

It's the same poor Leopard that got hit with a Stone Headed Mace. I'm hoping to use him/her as a recurring character that's always having bad stuff happen to him/her.

Shark Totem Draft:

I wanted to go for a Yin and Yang thing with each Shark wounding each other or having one bite off a tail.

Ship's Rat Draft: (I'm still working this one out. Should I show the whole body or a close up of upper torso? More stuff to show that it's a Metis?)

  Mer Trident Draft: (Needs a lot of work. Not sure if I should have it like Fang Dagger here like so or to have someone doing something with it.)

And something extra:

Doodling while I was playing Patapon 3. Or ideas for new classes or characters for Patapon. The idea being set of characters that have the wrong equipment for their set classes. So the Hyena Pataon has a trumpet instead of a hammer or mace. While the Lion Patapon has a sword instead of a trumpet. Other ideas include: Zebra Patapon for the horse riding types, Caracal for the jump-in-the-air-spear-throwing types and a Cheetah for the flag bearer.
