In a surprise to everyone, including himself, Hades was in a good mood. This wasn’t uncommon, not after New Year’s Eve, at least, but the amount of money he’d made? He just needed to figure out what to get with it, since the club didn’t need more improvement.

“Serious question: long vacation in the Mediterranean or beach house in the States? Gotta figure out where to spend February.”

The green bills he was being offered were a charitable gesture, sweet but completely misplaced. He took no offence though. He looked pretty rough and worn out from the busy night. Not to mention he was quite literally sitting in a doorway. He glanced up from the step he was sat at to the figure standing before him, light from the closest street lamp falling upon them. “Thank you, but I am far from homeless. I’m just stargazing.” His accent always came out a little thicker when he was tired, drunk of excitable. “Best to give it to someone else.”

Galyn rolled his eyes at the individual who came over to his booth at the bar.  He was in no mood to socialize with anyone, especially not someone he didn’t deem worth his time.  Random drunk people at bars who planned on chatting him up were never worth it, unless of course he could get something out of it like money or a business deal.  “Maybe if you get me a drink I’ll consider talking to you.”

Pinocchio had learned over the years that sometimes it was just better to keep his mouth shut. Just because he knew this fact though, it didn’t mean he always stuck to his own advice. Actually he didn’t stick to it very often at all. “I’s 2019 you know- we really shouldn’t be littering anymore.” The words spilled from his mouth toward the culprit he addressed without a real second thought.

After the fifth or sixth person giving her an odd look since she left the apartment this morning Minnie began to feel a bit self-conscious about her outfit.  She didn’t normally but maybe this was a bit much, maybe it was more of a runway, editorial look than every day.  She set down her fork and looked away from her salad at the pink skirt of her dress.  Maybe the polka dot dress was a bit much over the white polka dot top, maybe she should have gone with a white top underneath.  “Do you think it’s too much?” she asked biting her lower lip and looking over at her lunch companion.  “It’s national polka dot day so I decided to go all out with this but maybe it’s too much.  I just love them so much and any excuse to pull them out.”

Berlioz was very unhappy to still be in the hospital.  He was bored out of his mind staying in bed all the day.  He missed Tim and the cats, the cats especially since Tim could actually visit.  He needed something to do, the TV had stopped being interesting after the first day.  When he heard someone walk in the room he didn’t get too excited, he didn’t really care if he had visitors anymore he just wanted to go home.  “Unless you come with news that I’m going home today or smuggled in Callie or the kittens I don’t care what you have to say,” he told the visitor, crossing his arms and pouting.  “I just want to go home.  I don’t care if they still say I’m sick, I want to be home.”

“That’s probably not the best one to choose,” Colette says, not quite able to mind her own business when it came to the produce section. She’s incorrigible about it, even. “It’s a bit ripe. Almost bad,” she says. “What about this one,” she says, choosing another on instinct. “Probably has a bit more life in it.”
