Kali looked upon Adam with a gentle gaze, he wanted to say. He wasn’t sure
what could go wrong but… he felt like he couldn’t. “I have to be at the bar early tomorrow.”
He owned the place, he had to be there early in the morning to open it’s doors to the Supers
that wanted to escape the world, then again its doors were always open but he liked to be
there and oversee everything. “I can stay, for a little while.” But all night? He didn’t know
if he’d be able to, it could be risky.
Adam wasn’t sure how to feel about the slightly flimsy excuse the other gave him, not wanting to start some sort of disagreement. But he figured a bit of passive-aggressive playful prodding wouldn’t do too much harm. “You know,” he started, a small smile beginning to curl up along his soft features. “--they have these newfangled inventions these days called ‘alarms’.” His tone was teasing as he spouted off word after word, not wanting to make this a bigger deal than it was meant to be. “It’s where you, uh...you pick a time. And then there is this loud noise that goes off at that specific time to remind you to, like, take cookies out of the oven. Put your laundry in the dryer. Wake up. Stuff like that...” No, it wasn’t a big deal. But it would be nice to not be alone tonight.
