Here’s a couple Fantasy AU I’ve been trying out.

Fantasy!Ring: Elmire, the King’s young son, who is actually a changeling who fucking ate the baby and took its place being raised and pampered by servants for a few years. Sometimes he forgets hes not actually their child, and the King and Queen are not his parents.. he gets confused. Really confused. He’s attention starved and naughty. His dad doesnt have time for him, and his mom is incredibly ill and bed ridden. He causes trouble just for attention. He really enjoys the endless food but dreads the idea of being next in line for the throne. He doesnt want to rule, he just wants to be pampered like an asshole. He gets bored in the palace often and will try to run out to explore the town, but he often fails. Because he is a changeling, he is as strong as an adult male. Though sometimes he forgets hes over 300 years old, and throws a tantrum because its his bed time and his ‘father’ hasnt said goodnight yet. Fantasy!James: James was inspired by the Polish Hussars. Hes a human and the marshal! aaand is very involved with the preparation and planning of war (as well as joining his men in battle and killing lots of people :P ). He’s very close with the King, and has unconditional loyalty to him. When he is not in times of war, he is the executioner for the kingdom. Because of this, a lot of people dont like him, for executing their fathers and brothers and being tied to the king so closely. They blame him for the Queens illness and think he’s torn apart their (the king and queen) relationship due to his ‘unconditional loyalty’. He says he obeys every order because ..its his job. James has a complete lack of fear, due to an amulet he wears under his armor. As a child he had horrible anxiety which led to the loss of important people he could not protect.. With the magic amulet he fears nothing. this makes him an efficient soldier, though sometimes.. stupid. Because he never takes the amulet off, he gets really bad migraines which can be challenging to cure since it is magic induced. He is constantly in his armor. The helmet and wings are only for battle but the rest of the armor stays on, people think he sleeps in it. Even though hes very close to the King and has two powerful positions in the military and kingdom law enforcement, he has a very small modest home he lives alone in. He has no family, or any real friends.. his work for the King is all he has. He’ll do anything to keep it. With no real social friendships, or even any women in his life, he tends to lack manners and will discuss topics not really suited for a lady or anyone really. But he’s very friendly and open for the most part. He really likes going to war, its a thrill for him. Hes very good at what he does, and looting the bodies helps him pay his taxes.
