“You can’t seem to throw a stone in this jungle without hitting yet more temples. You’d have thought nobody would be crazy enough to want to live in such a hostile environment and yet here they are, dedicating their entire lives to building monuments to their Gods.
A recent run in with some lost archaeologists has lead you to believe that those that stole The Serpentine Staff are hidden away within this maze of crumbling buildings. As you investigate the endless labyrinth the sound of voices deep in chant reaches your ear. A quick bit of quiet climbing through the ruins and you gain a vantage point to spy on your quarry.
Eight Robed figures stand in the centre of a small clearing between four pillars. As they chant loudly in to the dying light one of their number lifts above their head a glinting golden staff. You take a deep breath and ready yourself. Hopefully this will go more smoothly than the encounter with the archaeologists..."
