I was looking through your tag for your emoji challenge cat designs (they’re SOOO amazing I love them all) and I noticed the tag “designs not free to use”, so I wanted to ask the specifics of what that tag means? /genq

Like, I assume it largely means “don’t copy the design and claim it as your own/use large amounts of design elements/use images for pfps” and whatnot, but I was curious if that extended to having one or more of them up as a VERY loose reference if I were doing my own drawing? Like basically just having them in the corner to look at (alongside whatever other images I’m looking at for the drawing), mostly just for vibes if that makes sense.

I just really like how you use shape language/form/motion in your designs and it’s a big inspiration for me, especially the way you draw shaggy fur and give cats “hairstyles”, but I didn’t want to overstep if you’re not comfortable with it!

You’re welcome to use my work as inspiration in that way!

I mostly just put that disclaimer so that people do not directly take the designs I make! I’ve had some people directly copy my designs in the past as well as use my art without permission, so I just want to avoid those scenarios.

Oh I was right about you being the one to draw the fish tattoos on s1Jimmy! (The chest ones, I’m not sure if they’re over scars or not.) I saw one of you’re older art of the old account I think, and it’s just very gender is all. Fish are a cool looking thing to tattoo there :)
