Troll Signs!
when I make fantrolls, I like making up my own signs. but the way I see it, the signs shown in the ezodiac have a certain aesthetic to each caste, and I try to stick to that!! so I decided to make a post talking about that.
Rust
Every rust sign we know off is left-right symmetrical. They also tend to have what I'd say is a horn-like shape, sometimes curving either inwards or outwards. They are also prone to having a central line, and towards heart-like shapes.
Bronze
Bronze signs again tend towards horn-like shapes, but this time they always have a central circle in some form for a "head" (which is rare but not unseen in rusts). Their 'horns' are different from rust's in generally being simpler and more angular instead of curving into themselves. They still tend towards left-right symmetry, but it's not universal anymore.
Gold
Gold signs don't have any one universal thing other than generally being symmetrical, but they often employ two parallel lines, two curved lines in a () or )( shape, or other repeating or mirrored designs.
Lime
Lime signs are the least consistent of the hemospectrum; the one thing I can say about them is several seem to have natural shapes; you can see lotus flowers, fire, lightning bolts, waves, axolotls, and the like.
Olive
Olive signs always have a circle, like Bronzes, but instead of 'horns' they generally have a 'tail'. In addition, contrary to the first three castes, they have a strong tendency away from symmetry.
Jade
Jadeblood signs often have a 'fish'-like shape reminiscent of the ichthys. They tend towards asymmetry and towards repeating curved lines in 'u' shapes.
Teal
Tealblood signs slide back towards symmetry, but this time their deal is all about angled lines; they often have a single straight line to one side, most often below the rest of the symbol, sometimes above or to the side. They also often combine incomplete circles with straight lines, or use parallel designs.
Cerulean
Cerulean Signs are all about a distinctive 'm'-esque shape, and about arrows. Their arrows are distinctive from indigo's in being 'full', like so: ➡. They're more often asymmetrical than symmetrical. Even when they don't have a proper 'm' shape, they tend towards repeating or mirrored curved lines.
Indigo
Indigo signs are full of straight lines and arrows; unlike ceruleans, their arrows are composed only of lines, like so: ➔. The designs not rarely resemble a bow-and-arrow. In the cases they do include curved lines, those are not linked to the arrow itself, but set tangent to it.
Purple
If you want to design a purple sign, drop a wet noodle on a table and see what shape it makes. More seriously, they tend towards a single line changing the direction of its curve multiple times, sometimes doubling in on itself to form a 'knot', sometimes with a circle. They might also include a short intersecting straight line, or very rarely a second curved line of similar length.
Violet
Violet signs are all about a 'wave' shape with three crests; most signs include it or a variant of it. It might be accompanied by a circle or other simple design. When the design fails to include it, it generally has some other symbol repeating in threes.
Fuchsia
Fuchsia signs generally include one or two parenthesis-like lines, often crossed by a straight line. They tend towards symmetry, and sometimes include three straight lines, reminiscent of a trident.
Hii! My commissions are open :]] Here is all my info!
for my examples of my art check out this account and my main!
I sold these two a while ago as adopts, I was tempted to keep the designs for myself but I have so many fantrolls ideas that are just too much asdfhasjkdch
(Also, I wanted to make more custom fantrolls with this rebel aesthetic. I sold them for like $35 so I think is a fair price for a custom design???? I don't know but if anybody is interested let me know I'm really into drawing fantrolls rn.)
yum! the sequel
drew disasterBunny_ on twit’s oc !! i loved drawing the parfait even though it was a little challenging lmao
Gonna be introducing a new character on this blog soon.. here are their concept design I did inbetween working on commissions
