I’m often asked how I do it. How I stay consistent in eating healthy and exercising regularly. Especially when it gets tough and the results aren’t showing as quickly as it should. Especially when we learn my body does not metabolize fat so I have to work 10 times harder. It is assumed that there is something “different” about me, that I possess something in my DNA that others don’t have. The only thing I do have is a mitochondrial disease that makes results so much harder. Let me BUST that MYTH right now. The way that I progress my health and continue losing weight is through one thing and one thing only. CONSISTENCY. Staying committed & consistent with what’s best for my body. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a daily choice. Sometimes I choose to indulge a little and other times I choose to buckle down but it’s always in balance and it’s always consistent. Sometimes I see small changes, sometimes I see big changes, and sometimes I see no changes at all. I don’t do it for the number on the scale or the way I look or even a specific result. I do it for my health. I do it to live my best life, a vibrant life, a happy, joyful life. To feel good in my skin. The physical is the bonus effect. Yes, I use specific nutrition programs & specific fitness programs but a nutrition program or a workout program doesn’t create change on its own. They are the tools that help me create change. I can tell you what does work though. It’s USING the TOOLS consistently, along with accountability, & community. So I’m inviting you to be part of my Summer Slim Down Challenge Group. Be part of a community that is using the tools to make this a lifestyle you choose AND LOVE, not just a program you do for a few weeks and then stop only to fall back into old habits. I’m not asking you to go on a diet with me. I’m asking you if you want to create consistency in your life that can lead to happiness, health, more energy, & a positive mindset that lasts a lifetime.
