An introspective work that goes beyond the aesthetic effect
My name is Farah L, I live in Valencia, Spain. I am currently studying fine arts at the university. I am an autodidact in photography, because I didn't study or practice professionally, but it is one of my passions, along with drawing.
The self-portrait is my means of expression. I consider it a fundamental way to know oneself, both physically and psychologically. My photography is characterized by the use and study of light colors to recreate different atmospheres that produce one or another perception in the viewer.
My inspiration to start with the self-portrait came when I met Francesca Woodman's work, in which she portrays several times, creating a relationship between space and herself. Sometimes almost human figures become intangible, a mere reflection of reality, as if a ghost invaded stay. His photographs are a clear example of his personality.
It is seen numerous times as she seeks itself without being found
Reflection is a series of photographs in which study as incident light into various objects, thus creating different reflexes. It is an introspective work that goes beyond the aesthetic effect, where looks are exchanged between the viewer and the photograph of a deep and sincere manner.
The photographs were taken on a black background, without any kind of ornament, to focus the attention and prominence in the relationship between the person and the reflexes.
