hasn't the "news" for an ass creed movie "starring fassbender" been a rumor since early 2012? like, if that even dares to go as far as ultimate news or a teaser, I will boycott that franchise so hard because that is a new low.

I haven’t seen any official confirmation about Fassbender, but his name has been attached to this project for a while now (rumored or not). The latest I’ve heard is that he’s still set to play Desmond despite the movie going through a 3rd rewrite by a 3rd team of writers. Even if Fassbender was attached at some point, I highly doubt he is now because he has a such a busy career. He has other projects in the works so I doubt he’ll drop anything for a movie that’s taking years to get off the ground.
