Inevitably, one goes around circles, repeating things, the same mistakes, the same sins, even the same life we've been trying to get out of. But it's fine, we all are still figuring things out as we go along. And frankly, who doesn't? If someone tells you they've figured things out for their lives, they're faking it. From home-cooked food, to GunPla, to traveling, immortalizing loved ones, Presenting my thesis, defending it, and finally getting my diploma, and many other things, 2017 taught me a lot of things as it took me a lot of things as well. It’s been a year of an amazing growth for me despite the craziness of the world around us. Yet as I prepare to bid 2017 a grateful farewell tomorrow, on a day of immense joy, I have to put behind a puzzling series of discouraging rejections. Often enough to observe it as a trend, lady friends declined my invitations to get to know each other on the basis of my being a loving, dedicated father. The reason consistently conveyed was not wanting to compete for my love; wanting to be the only one... Assuming they were sincere, they seem to assume that my heart is incapable of loving more than my kids. How naïve and disappointing... When people are facing huge responsibilities, they see it as burden and would often discard some of the things they love, or even their dreams, losing hope in the process. What they do not realize is that discarded dreams and things could wait until you're ready to pick them up again and continue like nothing happened. #perspectives #farewellto2017
Sometimes, we lose sight of what needs to be done because we focus too much on what we want to do. What we don't realize is that some things are meant to happen no matter how we resist them or how much we chase after it. Things will happen will, and what won't would be but will always be a mere potential if one would not see how it would benefit them. #perspectives #farewellto2017
People have the tendency to get jealous of what they see from others, most especially if they knew they do not have the means of getting the same thing or better. What they do not realize is that life isn't a competition and careers are not races. #perspectives #farewellto2017
