Because there's nothing in canon that indicates to me that they could even have a relationship in general. Like, he was a boy, she was a girl and they did absolutely nothing with it, so here I am, doing nothing about it. Farinner doesn't have a lot going for it I'm afraid unlike Egdevelle uff uwo
What would have made you like it?
Can someone point to moments in AAI2 where Kay and Eustace have an actual dialogue without Miles or Verity intersecting in any way? 'Cause I don't remember anything of sorts and thus I can't really imagine how they could even become friends at all lmao. The game shows that the strongest bonds is between Kay/Miles and Verity/Eustace so that's where I go.
Also the experience has been soured by people who prolly don't even ship KaySeb but wanted to push me in that direction cause I dare ship Edgeworth with a female character and I KNOW that's their issue because it was always why don't you ship Kay with a boy her age and never why don't you ship Miles with a woman his age. Funny how that is~~
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
It is pretty cute and perfectly fine, it has nice fans that depict them in nice ways so if anyone wants to propaganda-dump about them and prove me wrong in the they have nothing going for it thing I'm all for it, go wild! (but like, you gotta be a shipper wanting to gush in good faith, not someone wanting to de-throne kayworth as my AAOTP of all time ;0)
Yumikumo tastes like: Sliced Bread. It is soft and nice, and like, "I like it" I guess but it's clearly factory-made Safe For Consumption™ and that kinda removes the fun of it. Adding something sweet or salty or even making toast can be good but it's not as "hand-made" as you think, or as I prefer it.
