[Yusuke had recently...regressed, so to speak; his attitudes gradually became far more formal than before, and he only spoke to Akira stiffly, as though he was uncomfortable with him. It...had personally been bothering the raven ever since it began, but he found it incredibly difficult to confront the artist about the issue. This sort of attitude meant...hatred, didn’t it? Perhaps that was the leader’s own insecurities manifesting, but his parents neglected him in the same manner.]
[...Never wanting to spend time with him, rejecting any and all opportunities to bond with him. Of course, his parents’ treatment of him was far worse ( and included occasional beatings on the high chance that Akira had brought home his usual average or low grades ). But -- either way...it was this attitude that signified contempt, at least in the raven’s eyes. And...Akira didn’t want to make him uncomfortable. If Yusuke didn’t want to speak any longer, if he...wanted Akira gone, he would respect that decision.]
[And...Akira was finally about to ask, now that he had the opportunity to do so. His normal attitude, confidence and a tranquil demeanor, were replaced by an apprehensive one. He was clearly fidgeting as he spoke; the answer to his questions might not be ones he wanted to hear.]
Yusuke... [His breath caught in his throat, and his entire body tensed up; he wasn’t good at this. Confronting his friends, or -- anyone on whether they didn’t want him around was unbelievably anxiety-provoking. With his mindset, even one friend abandoning him meant that they all eventually would.] Do you...hate me?
