Last night I took the girls to see Cinderella. It was Xanthe’s first time at the movie theatre. She sat mesmerised through the ads, movie trailers, and the short film, Frozen Fever (which, for the record, was dreadful). However, by the time Cinderella began she’d thrown herself diagonally across her seat with a dissatisfied look on her face.  Oh no, I thought. This is going to be a disaster. But actually, after cocking her right leg and letting out an enormous fart, she settled into the film quite well (though she continued expelling wind, loudly, for the rest of the evening).
