Listen, I really don't have any explanation for myself here. Everyone already knows I'm the trash queen of trash mountain, the one who has an Audible Romance subscription I'm canceling before they can bill me for a whole second month, the one who's just trying to get my money's worth here. Bear with me. This is not special in nearly any way. I have read the story this book tells at least a dozen times this year already (and we're being generous and low-balling that number) so, unless it's done really exceptionally well, like In the Middle of Somewhere, The Rebuilding Year, or Damaged Like Us, then it's all going to just blur together as one big gay amalgam. If you've read almost any of my reviews for any of the other gay romances I've read this year (other than the books I just listed up above) then you already know how I feel about this one. It's cute and sexy but there's nothing special about it. Just like I meant it to be, it's a good time waster and it's making me feel better about forking over the dough for one month of Audible Romance because it's all about quantity here on trash mountain, not the quality, so nobody's about to start complaining here. Unrelated addendum: The original cover was so embarrassing that I decided to redesign it in order to feel better about putting it on my Goodreads so there's that.
