The Mercedes-Benz sputtered its way up to the parking lot of The Pit Stop, choking out some awful noise as it came to a stop before Dale killed the engine. Unbuckling and jumping out over the door Dale was excited for this little break. Having spent the last few weeks back home, watching the season start to change, Spooky Season had imprinted on his brain and all he wanted to do was fall activities.
Once home, a quick google search and a few texts later, Dale had convinced his new buddy Monty to join him on a little corn maze adventure. Dale had sent him the info, and they had agreed on a time and guys night was now a-go. They were heading to what was supposed to be one of the most difficult mazes in all of Cali.
“Oh Monty!” Dale called as he strolled inside the bar, shades still on and keys spinning on his finger. “You ready to blow this maze out of the water?” He asked, dramatically flipping his shades off his eyes and catching his keys in his hand.
He absolutely did not practice this move all morning. Nope. He was a skilled actor, this skill totally came naturally and not at great effort. He totally was not trying to keep his cool as he was astonished it actually worked. Except the part at the end, where he was supposed to lean against the wall while he waited for Monty to respond. He missed and almost fell, but he caught himself, and waved to look like was totally intended and not at all an accident. Professional after all.
