One thing I’ve noticed, is that people have a bigger problem with me being fat than me being asexual.

Which is crazy considering that asexuals are probably one of the least accepted queer identities. And asexuals make up about 1 % of our world population, meanwhile fat people make up about a third of our world population.

I’ve literally had fatphobes say fatphobic sh*t, and then turn around and talk about how asexuality is valid, at least twice now. Like I’m glad you accept me for my asexuality, but umm, you’re still ignoring the bigger part of the oppression I experience.

#fatexperiences: being told how confident i am when i'm just... not hating myself. like, it's annoying to be seen as this amazing, confident being just because i enjoy being myself and being alive. i have my things that i wish i could change, i just don't air them publicly because that would be letting society win.

We are starting a new project called #fatexperiences.

PS - The first thing that came to mind when I was thinking of #fatexperiences was wearing my hoodie year round to try and hide my body. It didn’t make me look not fat, it just make me look strange in 90+ degree weather, but remember, these don’t have to be negative experiences.

Another one of my #fatexperiences was finding so many amazing fat girls and women on tumblr who helped me start my journey of body acceptance and self love!

OH MY GOODNESS...So

I am watching Glee, and Puck falls for this fat girl Lauren Zizes and for Valentine’s days he sings her Fat Bottom Girls by Queen...and I hate that song.

Whenever I would go into this one bar that song would always come on and I knew there was this guy that liked me there and so I can only assume he would request it...it would have been a coincidence if it happened two or three times...but I went in there often and EVERY TIME this song came on a short while later.

It really creeped me out...I was also the only fat girl there most of the time, so it is safe to assume it was directed at me.

Anyway, Lauren Zizes said that song sang to her made her feel like crap, and that made me really happy. Not that her character feels like crap but that I am not alone in disliking that song when directed at me.
