Salutations!, colleagues! This post will be quick, in the future I'd like to do longer and better researched essays/write-ups like I used to do in the rap-internet blogger days of yore. But I live in Mexico now, not northern califas, and feel a lil bit disconnected from the "escena", yo know, ya tu sabes? And, not trying to break any hearts here, mexican rap fuckin sucks. They don't got the flavor. No tienen el "sazón", me entiendes?
In the past two weeks I've been feeling pretty out of it. Have you ever had Serotonin Syndrome? Yes? No? Well it SUCKS. I was taking my SNRI medication (venlafaxine) along with a few daily neurotransmitter-boosting supplements such as l-theanine, l-tyrosine, and the one that fucked me up: 5-HTP. If you take SNRI's or SSRI's, don't take 5-HTP. Check out Serotonin Syndrome on wikipedia. You feel like you're dying, and if you're lucky enough, it is fatal sometimes. So listen to as much fun,negative, nihilisitic, raucous and hyped-up rap music (the good shit that inspires me to become a great human being) and don't listen to people's bullshit about "watch out what you consume" mediawise because it could effect you spiritually, because who gives a fuck and I'd rather listen to somebody funny and cool behind menacing-sounding beat driven instrumentals. Its what keeps this average agonizing flesh in movement. As the saying goes, never smarten up a square. And to think I used to be a huge Swans fan. Well, I ended up heckling Michael Gira at his own show (screaming "FREEBIRRRRD!!!") in frisco and since then I haven't looked back, blood. Whatever, man.

this last link is to most if not all of Fat Tone's albums/mixtapes, for free on datpiff. This not only has to do with the link to the Mac Dre article, but Fat Tone was a hilarious, hoggish gorilla in the KC rap scene. His music is classic in the midwest and the bay.
