The young LDS student was sitting in a café in the heart of Downtown Miami, kicking her feet as she slurped a delicious soda through a straw. It wasn’t often she got the chance to go out like this, her social life not exactly being the best. Though, Crescent knows the goal of this outing isn’t for simple fun. She had business to discuss with the purple-haired male sitting across from her.
“Um...thanks for coming, Akihiro. I...I appreciate it. A-And don’t worry about the check. I’ll pay for whatever you order. Take it as a thank you for doing so much for me.” Mr. Akaba gave her access to his company's credit card, and while Crescent didn’t like abusing it, she had to repay someone for their services someway if he won’t accept a regular payment, right?
The younger man’s offer to help her solve the mystery of her forgotten past for free was one that was way too kind. She had a desire to know where she came from, and what the occasional flashes she sees mean. Crescent certainly stood out amongst her classmates, both due to her connection to the Akaba family and her seeming to pass all of her XYZ courses without needing to even try. Her emerald hues glance to her deck, grasping it lightly in her hands as her gaze shifts to look at Akihiro again.
“Also, as you can see, I brought my deck like you asked. Did...Did you want to take a look at it?” The girl asks, stretching it out towards him. Crescent can hear the voices of her cards whining in response to the action, the spirits not exactly like being touched by other people than their duelist. Crescent made sure to tell them through their bond that he was a safe person. Even in the short time she’s known him, she’s come to trust Akihiro after seeing just what kind of person he is through their interactions. Not just anyone would offer to do a case like this for free, you know.
If there was anyone in this city she would trust to handle her treasured Purery and Melffy cards, it would be him.
