Is it strange I paired M!Corrin with Flora and F!Corrin with Gunter?

Flora isn’t a surprise to me (ice wife deserves the best) but Gunther is, if only because Gunther’s support like is really...paternal. TBH I fully understand marrying Gunther because if anyone deserves a happy ending it’s him (christ, his ending is written like he goes off to hang himself). His Femui A-rank is pretty literally “I think of you as my real dad!” and the S-rank whiplash is deadly. I can totally understand why you’d marry Gunther if you already like him, but it’s hard to imagine someone playing the game blind and ending up there...

I don't wanna be one of those ppl, bc I know. IRL I tend to run away from people that is very dependent on others. I wouldn't stand ppl like Joker/Silas/Susukaze or even Marx/Ryoma b/c like "i need u" bullshit makes me lose it IRL (maybe I could stand it coming from Camilla b/c I have a supernatural love for her) BUT in game, any game, I kinda like it? I feel some ppl are like me in that sense. We know its bad/can't stand codependent relationships, but only in literature but far away from home!

Oh, yeah--like I said, nothing wrong with fantasy. You like what you like, you know? But in my case, broad shipping trends like that tend to put me off. I have different needs in fiction when it comes to “proper romance” (that is to say, not trainwreck disaster stories). Nothing wrong with you or me, just different tastes.

Im playing on my copy of japanesefeif over from the beginning and realized that mu says the dream is of 知らない人 instead of something of the lines of 'hoshidan people.' A little change goes so far imo

You know, I never paid much attention to the opening but it makes a lot of sense that Kamui would call them strangers. It dovetails nicely with the fact that Kamui should know them, too.

Yeah, you can’t help it when a fic hits your squick like that. If it helps you sleep at night, it’s all consensual and non-guro (ie no brain penetration). There’s a really cute line that’s stuck with me since I first read it about how handholding when one of them is about to come is one of their oldest habits--such a sweet(/lewd) incorporation of that S-rank line.

The ideal Fates ending for me would be to say "Screw everyone!" And conquer both Hoshido and Nohr. Somebody needs to take Nohr down a peg and knock Hoshido off their high horse

Man, I get to that point in some games where I stop sympathizing with anyone save a select handful of faves and just want to kill everyone else who annoys me.

Which of the kids do you think would look good with green hair?

...is it cheating to say Midoriko? I think Eponine can rock it as long as it’s not the nuclear green shade. Grey and Ignis have pretty neutral color schemes so dark green works on them. IMO the dark green is the best shade, Kamui 15 if this generator is right. Ophelia can kiiinda work it. 

Kinu and Velour can tolerate just about anything.

Is it just me or are growths still inflated in Fates? Like, Shura and Hinata get bashed for their growths but in older FEs, they would've been considered alright. Kind of true with Beruka and Tsubaki to a lesser extent.

Yeah, with a focused character it’s not too difficult to get 65-75% growths in a major stat like attack or speed or defense, or even managing to get all three major combat growths (str/mag, spd, skl) over 60% at once. I think it’s still better than Awakening was about it (Maribelle has the lowest HP growth in the game--at 65%!!), but I actually saw someone a little while ago ponder that 30% speed would have been great in a GBA FE. 

Ephrahim is considered a great unit, but he only has 55% strength and 35% defense. That’s only 10% more def than Charlotte, and Marx blows him out of the water everywhere but speed (though this is also an issue of bases, but I digress).

I think it’s partly a product of caps being higher, as well as class growths/character growths being split because of reclassing being a thing.

how would robin/corrin pan out? as a ship?

Hard to say, since both of them are such undefined characters in general. They’ve both got some little character cues--Robin is an oddball, Kamui is naive--but I think you could choose to fill in the empty spaces a number of different ways. Personally, I don’t see too much point in avatar/avatar shipping; I’m usually into shipping to appreciate the characters and there’s little predefined character present, you know?
