He has to know how badly it can spread, how much of a danger this thing the boy carries is. To know that a quirk could contaminate others this way, to infect a quirkless person and change them in such permanent fashion makes Overhaul worried as he had not been in a long time. All the quirks he studied so far, as drastic as they were, mostly had limited effects in time and space, even powerful mutations such as his own and Eri’s. The quirk All Might passed on to Midoriya, however, would exponentially grow with each user, passing on through generations like a particularly dangerous and resistant contagen.
