Part Three of The Prisoner is posted! (I'm currently working on part seven... so lots to look forward to!)
----------
It was the day of the trial. Marius' lawyer was ready. And she was confident.
That morning, a few hours before his court appearance, she arrived at his cell with the new clothes.
Marius felt the cloth of the dress pants and the button down shirt and tie. Each piece of clothing was big enough to be a blanket for a normal sized person. He said, "Thank you for bringing these. And for purchasing them. I... I can't get dressed on my own though."
She sighed and said, "I'll help you. We have less than an hour now. We need to get you dressed for court before the bailiff comes to escort you."
All Marius could do was blush. No prison employee was going to help dress him. They treated him as an object and not a person, nevermind, a man.
