I can't 😂. This is so accurate 🤭.
Who wants to hear me yapping about my characters?
None, but what if you do it anyway?
Without James, Rose feels lonely and she yearns for something she doesn't know what is... But without Rose, James is basically miserable. Not because one loves the other more, absolutely no, but it's all about their personalities. She still has her friends and that helps, but James only has his brothers that live in another country so, he has no one.
And in this particular AU, he's also surrounded by people all the time and even when he studied to be there, there are moments he wants to run away but can't and has none who can comfort him 😔.
She's coming, bb.
James Potter was a Gryffindor. And thus he was very brave. But there was one thing he was terrified of. And that was baby Harry. Little, tiny, fragile Harry with his little fingers and toes and his little scrunched up face. Baby Harry terrified him. It was 3.30 one night and James woke to the sound of Harry crying. Lily was still sleeping soundly so James put on his glasses and went to Harry. He was lying on his back, his face red and wet, sobbing his heart out. James nervously picked him out of the cot and held him to his chest. "Hey," He muttered quietly, "What's wrong?" He held Harry for a while, whispering comforts. After a while he stopped crying and was just sniffling into his fathers chest, gripping onto his shirt tightly in his little fist. "Let's get you something to drink, eh?" James whispered as he carried him to the kitchen. Just carrying Harry made James nervous. What if he dropped him? Or fell over? He safely made it to the kitchen and held Harry in one arm, his head resting on James' shoulder, as he made Harry's bottle with the other. When it was made they went back to Harry's room and James sat in an armchair in the corner of the room and with Harry lying in the crook of his arm, fed him the bottle. While he drank, Harry looked up at James with wide eyes. And whenever James took the bottle out of his mouth he would gurgle as though telling James something important and then pucker his lips for more. With a smile, James fed him expecting him to fall asleep, but he didn't. "Not sleepy?" James asked as he burped Harry. He put Harry lying on his knees and Harry wrapped his fingers around two of James' fingers. James moved his hands around and Harry gave a tiny giggle. James grinned widely and kissed his fists. Harry giggled again. James lifted him up, cradling him in his arms and rocked him gently. "My little baby," he whispered as Harry's eyelids started to droop. James carried Harry over to his cot and put him back down. Harry whimpered quietly but stopped when James wrapped him warmly in the blankets. Leaning down to kiss his head James realised that even if Harry was terrifyingly fragile, he was worth the fright. After covering Harry's feet James went back to his room and crawled back into bed beside Lily. She woke slightly and snuggled into his chest. "Where were you?" she muttered. "With Harry," he whispered back, wrapping his arms around her. She smiled against his chest and falling asleep she mumbled, "My two boys." He grinned and whispered, "I love you." But she was asleep.
