For Loki, how about Y/N reminiscing about the time she first met Loki? They're still in awe of how far they've come.
narfi's mummy, i love her so much
''There's a lot to know when it comes to magic, especially ours.''
The now six year old Narfi sat in the younger prince's lap, both of their noses buried in yet another book on magic. Manuals and tomes on magical theory among other things, she sat by the window, watching them from the corner of her eye as she enjoyed the warm sunlight as it shone in through the large rectangle windows. Life was slowing down now that their child was getting older, no longer a toddler with the energy of two rowdy men as Loki once said. It baffled her, just how much he's softened over the years. No, not softened, Loki could still be a hard man to love. Not impossible. He had grown, different aspects of him he thought he never had seemed to come out of the woodworks. Loki used to be a nervous youth, though naturally charming and very suggestive in his language when he approached people around him, when it came to her however he became so quiet. Her husband confessed to feeling despondent in her absence, told her of how mad he had been for her and how mad he is still. Truly so in love that he simply couldn't speak, Loki really ought to thank Thor properly after all these years, it was him who managed to push them both together. Y/N had watched Loki grow over the years, the two of them. She had worked at the palace before she became his wife, before they had their child she had been scrubbing away at the palace floors all day long. At times she'd prepare food for various feasts, she knew all of Loki's favourite's by heart. Their son liked a lot of the same things his father did, suppose it made it easier. Loki wasn't perfect but he was a good man, deep down somewhere. He was overshadowed by everything in this realm or so he thought, Y/N couldn't understand, not really. How could someone so magnificent feel pressured by the life around them?
''Is there bad magic?''
The people of Asgard didn't have the highest of opinions when it came to Loki but they could still recognise and appreciate the true good he has done for them. For the realm and for this family, it is the allfather who doesn't seem to realise this. Perhaps he does and chooses not to acknowledge it, in any way it was too painful for her to watch. Knowing that all Loki wanted was to be viewed as his brother's equal, not wanting to be viewed as a lesser god. Loki didn't teach their son any of this, chasing Thor's sun. Instead Narfi was told to find his own, that he'd be magnificent on his own and this much was true but it was all thanks to Loki. He may not let go of his bitterness just yet but Y/N hoped that he would set it aside one day, that he and Thor may be on good terms and that the allfather would take notice of the good Loki has done for the realm. Protecting it and caring for the citizens of Asgard, he had earned their respect and loyalty through what he has given and Y/N admired that about him.
''All forms of magic exists, water magic, sun magic.''
Loki's eyes find her, catching her off guard as he did fairly often. Though she might be his wife she still hasn't learned how to trick him back, he was a master of his own craft. Always a step or two ahead, Loki had sensed her throughout all this time. She watched with a smile as he lovingly brushed back little Narfi's dark hair, he looked so much like his father. Y/N couldn't ask for anything more, she had her son and she had her husband. Gold and jewels didn't interest her, Loki sent a wink her way. Y/N couldn't help but laugh silently, flirtatious, one of many aspects of Loki she loved. That he found it so important to showcase his affection each and every day, there was no need but she greatly appreciated it. She smiled back at him.
''You know, your mother's magic is my favourite, it is the best of all.''
Narfi giggles, leaning back against his father, nodding in agreement.
