People complain about older movies not being shown in theaters, but fathom events does that. And it's not just movies for niche fandoms like Godzilla or older anime. They do it for movies from the 40's, 50's and all the way to the 2000's. They do it for Ghibli films and Satoshi Kon films as well. I saw the Big Lebowski a few years ago at a Fathom event and it was funny as hell. I saw the Rocky Horror Picture show last year at one of these in October. I get the frustration since it should be done more often but older movies are being shown at theaters.

Just went and saw Lisa Frankenstein and there was a trailer for Labyrinth. It’s playing in March with Fathom Events 🥰🥰 I will DEFINITELY be going!

So when I saw this yesterday, it had prologue with Terry Gilliam where he said something along the lines of "Enjoy this movie we made back when dinosaurs roamed the earth".

Now were those European or African dinosaurs?

My local theater needs to get their shit together. Last night and last week I went there for the Critical Role fathom events. Both times around 11:00, the 4th hour mark, the show was shut off. The screening rooms next to us were still playing whatever movie they had,but ours was stopped. One of the guys in the theater went to tell the manager that the show still had an hour left, both times. Yes there were only 8 members of the audience, but we still paid to watch the show.
