1). How’s your day been?
Mentally, pretty good. Played some games with my friends, got some more work done on my own game. Physically, it was very humid today so I've been a bit uncomfortable.
2). What are your top three favorite kinds of candy?
Ooo. Tough one. Gonna go with, Hershey Cookies and Cream, Butterfingers, and Milky Way.
3). Where would you like to settle down?
Somewhere really nice, especially near the ocean or mountains. I think living in Japan would be interesting and could offer some really different experiences, but it's not the best place for a foreigner to put down roots generally speaking.
4). What’s your favorite scent?
Uhhh.....Pizza? That or the smell just after it rains, or of the sea.
5). Do you have something that holds sentimental value? Why does it have sentimental value?
I am a huge packrat. If there is something that has even a tiny bit of sentimental value, I don't let go of it. I have old notebooks, concert tickets, cameras. All sorts of stuff. I always hang on to things I get at concerts though, because every show I go to has had some special memories for me.
6). What are some things that you like about yourself?
I like that I simply enjoy life. All the ups and downs, the little things. I don't ever like going to sleep because I feel like I am missing out on things that I could be awake doing. I also like my eyes. XD
7). Why is your bias, your bias?
Not sure I understand this one that well. I try not to have any bias towards anything, but I have to admit, I am a little biased towards the "gamer bro" crowd of the gaming community. I just feel like they represent a lot of why the video game industry get's looked down on by others, and publishers seem to like trying to market their games towards players like that.
8). Would you like to learn other languages? What are they?
I would love to learn Japanese a bit more in depth. I know enough to scrape by if I needed to, but I'd love to be really fluent in it.
9). Can you talk about a time when you were happiest (or a time that you had the most fun)?
As silly as it may sound, I think I was happiest when I was having conversation with my now ex . She liked a lot of the same things as I did, and we would just have the weirdest conversations about the oddest little things too. I remember one day I actually stayed up past when I wanted to sleep by about five hours because I just lost track of time talking with her. She's the only person so far that I've ever been that comfortable around as far as a relationship goes, even though it was a long distance relationship.
10). Can you recommend me some things like, movies, shows, books, artists/bands, or all four? If you recommend me an/a artist/band, tell me which song(s)/album(s) I should listen to first.
Ah geez, so many....going to focus on music here (Still gonna be hard to keep it sort of brief...) The Story So Far - Listen to the song "Quicksand" first. The Swellers - Listen to the song "The Best I Ever Had" first. Koji - His entire debut album Crooked in My Mind is worth a listen. Sharks - Check out the song "Patient Spider" first.
Some other niche stuff or personal favourites I never shut up about: Ash are one hell of a band, they've been around for a long while and are still making awesome music. Check out "Lose Control" and "Walking Barefoot". People in the Box are a indie Japanese group that make some really unique music. Check out "Lete Beach" first, it pretty much covers their basic sound. Faunts are a post rock group that I think make some of the most fantastic music in the world. They are not a loud or thrilling group, in fact some of their songs are pretty quiet, and many are instrumental or have few vocals. Try "Memories of Places We've Been" and "Explain".
Thanks for the tag :D
