Quite the eclectic group, the #Gritsch 2 days later was even better with more mineral nuances. . The #Cebene is a #Faugeres and changed drastically over the 3 @coravin taps. It first started out more herbal and stemmy but grew into a huge wall of black and blue fruits, reminded me of a #mourvedre heavy #chateauneufdupape with a little more structure. . Sadly the 2010 #Poggione #Brunello normale was shut down, don't touch these for a few years or decant the ba-jeezuz out of it. . Lastly the @paulhobbswinery 2004 #Stagecoach #Cabernet was a beast, reminding me of a great Graves/Pessac with a deep and lively nose of scorched Earth, blackberries, plum, black cherry and a dose of mocha. The color was a deep red, with dark ruby edges, no sign of bricking. The palate was huge, with layer upon layer of flavor washing over the palate in a satiny, thick robe. A perfect accompaniment with the steak. Sadly missing was an attempt at a 2001 #CVNE Gran Reserva Imperial that was corked. (at Domaine Koby)
