First post-pandemic dining experience with the hubby! We had seen Leadbelly’s Barbecue in Fullerton a while back. A few friends have been there and said it was good. When it’s my first time at a BBQ place, my measure is brisket. I ordered brisket, pork belly burnt ends, jalapeño Mac & cheese, and collard greens. Brisket had a good flavor but was dry. Maybe leaving more of the fat cap and slicing it thicker would help. Pork belly burnt ends were AMAZING! These delicious devils were so tender and love their sauce that they tossed it in. As I’ve gotten older, I’m shying away from sauce but this was a perfect marriage of flavors! The jalapeño Mac & cheese was pretty good. I loved the bacon on top! Collard greens was pretty good as well. The hubby ordered a full rack of pork ribs, fries, and southern vinegar slaw. These ribs were good, tender and flavorful. Fries were nice and crispy. Their ranch is great, tastes homemade.
