Faust from the Faust legend?
Would Faust (Goethe) accept Kyubey's contract?
Yes
Yes, reluctantly
No, reluctantly
No
After watching Richard Burton's Faust (highly recommended) I've come to conclusion that Gothe's Faust is a fanfiction Canon complain AND a parody of Marlowe's. He literally throws in a love interest oc, changes Helen's storyline (I find the whole hellenic-germanic supernatural family really interesting tho), and slams down a happy ever after because yes, his blorbo has to be happy and that's so cool of him. In the meantime, the are so many comic shenanigans, while Marlowe is pretty serious with some degree of fun here and there. Marlowe is about inner turmoil and damnation, Gothe is about hybris and redemption
Does anyone have Faust fanart ideas? Please, I'm begging😭
Gretchen : are you sure about this
Faust : yes baby girl this is miracle homeopathic eyedrops after this your mom will sleep while we do devil's tango
Gretchen : what
Faust : SEX GRETCH OH MY GAWD
I go to a goddamn clown college (affectionate). I'm being encouraged to rewrite a scene from Faust and set it in 1980s Wall Street instead of writing an essay. I love clown college.
Hey a little interpretation question! I like to doodle Mephistopheles sometimes in my excercise books and sketchbooks and I am unsure how to interpret one certain line. The witch, in the Witch's Kitchen scene, asks Mephistopheles, where both of his crows are (V.2491 "Wo sind denn Eure beiden Raben?"). I am struggling to understand whether she means two dark feathered wings or actual two crows.
Help is apprecciated!
I have a little fixation
