when the snake found his heart , a drabble for @corxner

he still remembers that sting he felt after faust said goodbye .  it confused him for days , not because he didn't understand why but because he was well aware he wasn't about to let go of him that easily .  he already knows this and proof of it was how he went as far as buying a place close to faust's apartment  -  one that guaranteed a view to it through the window .

weeks had passed now .  despite being blessed with the opportunity of a normal life , victor simply couldn't have that .  that fully human body of his felt wrong , it felt incomplete .  unnatural .  keeping him awake at night  ( along with many thoughts )  and deciding to welcome the nemesis parasite once more .  the changes just about the same as before ; his body was familiar with it now that it had gone through those changes .  adapting again was easy , bringing peace to his mind .

and yet , he still felt uneasy .  something felt . . .  wrong .

stupidly , he believes it could be something physical .  an odd leftover after his body fully converted to that monstrous nemesis state  -  he studies his own body , checking what he could do on his own .  not that it was difficult ; having been gifted with elpis and also the younger man's blood made it easy to be a bit more reckless on things .

nothing was coming off wrong in any test , any chart , any check up .  what then ?

it's during a night that he happens to be observing faust from the window in the comfort of his secret apartment that he makes a painful realization .  the younger man looked so peaceful .  enjoying the night as he cooked dinner after work  -  victor had studied each and every detail of his routine , memorizing it with ease .  sometimes faust looked far more at ease than he ever did when the doctor was around .  even after they had been passionately intimate . . .  it was almost like he was seeing a completely different man .

that ache twists in his chest again , making him breathe out in discomfort .  it couldn't possibly be a real physical anomaly  -  he already made sure to check .  a blink and a moment to dive deeply in thought .  how stupid . . .  of course he wasn't sick or dealing with an aftermath from the battle that should have killed him .

he had a broken heart .

so comes the realization that his obsession for the younger man was more than just that .  more than fascination and perhaps morbid curiosity .  it was something as ridiculous as love .  almost offensive how faust had managed to have such a bold effect on victor  -  the convenient part of it though ?  he now knew that faust was wrong when he said victor had never loved him .

it brings him hope .  to win him back , to own him again .  

now he had to figure out how to prove that .

fuck me like you love me. pretend if you have to.

and pretend he will .  

he could live with that ; the lack of guilt over the way he had conditioned faust to react to his touch , his voice , even his presence .  it was addicting . . .

from the moment he got to witness faust in such awful distress after waking up somewhere unknown to now , something about him was too fun not to play with .  whether it was messing him up with an experiment , an unwanted treatment , or a well deserved treat .

like you love me . . .

victor smiles , leaning for a needy kiss .  hands exploring freely through the younger man's body , though this time not to possess but rather silently adore .  worship , even .  his thrusts turned slower , still hilting deep inside with each movement before nearly pulling out entirely , only to repeat the process over and over .

he doesn't do it to obey , but out of curiosity .

what did he sound like when treated this way ?  what did he look like , would he ask for more , would he change his mind . . .

the kiss turns tender , hand cupping his face  -  the position might seem forceful as his thumb easily holds @corxner in place by the jaw , but there was a type of faux kindness that was easy to believe even for him .

“ now . . .  keep singing for me , my darling . . .  don't you dare hold back . ”      if anyone else got to hear the mess they were making inside his office , they were paid handsomely enough to stay quiet about it .
