BRUNCHTIME 🍽 // Happy brunching at Fave, Floreat. @fave_floreat We had: - Open Sandwich: slow-cooked beef, brioche bread, Asian slaw, coriander, yuzu dressing, poached egg, Hollandaise $23 - Potato Rosti: two poached eggs, bacon, onion jam, Parmesan, greens and herb dressing $22 - Chicken Katsu: chicken thigh, chips, Asian slaw, aioli $20 - Seafood Spaghetti (half-serve); #gifted Delicious brunch here with perfectly-cooked poached eggs. Love the potato rosti, soft beef on the open sandwich. Also love the tangy Asian slaw on the chicken katsu dish which takes away the greasiness of the crumbed chicken katsu. DINNER SPREAD ✨ // Spaghetti: Prawn, Fish, Brown Butter, Furikake, Seaweed (aud29); Beef: Woodfired Sirloin, Beetroot, Jus (aud37); Braised Lamb Ragu: fettuccine, Sugo, celery, fennel, Parmesan (aud28); Risotto: mushroom, white wine, mascarpone, baby kale (aud27) from Fave, Floreat. Dinner only available on Thursdays and Fridays. Menu on the second last pic. Love the handmade pasta here. The mains of the day was the spaghetti which was generous with seafood. I like the slight acidity of the springy spaghetti and how it paired with the fresh seafood and brown butter sauce. Risotto was flavoursome and creamy. Lamb Ragu Fettucine was good too with no gamey smell of lamb. We ordered two serves of steaks - requested for one medium rare and another medium (mainly for my “no raw food” dietary requirement 🙈). Pictured was the one cooked “medium rare” and I found this to be perfect medium. Just look at how perfectly red and juicy it is! Found the steaks a tad under-seasoned but maybe they were meant to be like that. Tip: Located within the restaurant alfresco area of Floreat Forum shopping centre, parking is free and such a breeze.
