Day 18: Project You Made To Keep #GreatBritishQuilter 🇬🇧 💚💙💛 The thing about quilters is that we love to make quilts for other people and seldom make them for ourselves. Yes, though I've made more quilts than I can count, I have only a handful that I’ve made intentionally to keep; to date this one is my favourite. 💚💙💛 It is my Colour Drop quilt – @MellyTesta gave me some of her hand printed fabric samples and asked me to make a quilt top showcasing their half-drop repeat that she could take to the Fall 2016 Quilt Market. I teamed her prints with my own coordinating solids and promptly fell in love with it. I asked Melanie if I could keep the top after market and, when it was returned to me, I made it up into this quilt, which I machine and then hand quilted. It’s on my sofa and used every single day.
