I'm concerned with my PS2's health. I've managed to get it to play some Drakengard 2, but it was not reading discs very well earlier. I wonder if it would be a good idea to invest in a new PS2....

Why anyone even gives half a fuck is beyond me but I seriously get this question on a near daily basis.
Kingdom Hearts 30 Day Challenge
Day 25 – Favorite gaming system to play Kingdom Hearts on
The PS2 of course! It's the only one that plays Kingdom Hearts 2.
1. Which is your favorite console?
That's a tough one, actually. However, it would be a tie between Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2.
The reasons are kind of obvious for the Wii. It's the first console where you have to physically move in order to use the controller, unlike the old consoles where you were limited to the couch and the length of the controller cord. I also love how many of the Nintendo consoles are family oriented, especially with the Wii where my brothers and I don't have to do a half an hour explanation of what buttons makes the character do a certain task and such (especially my mom who is a serious tech dunce). With the Wii, all they have to do is point the remote to the screen and move around.
I don't own a Playstation 3 (even though I would like to), so Playstation 2 is the next best thing for me at the moment. My brothers are big FPS fans while I'm a big RPG fan, so Playstation 2 is perfect for us. We have both types of game on the Wii, but the controls are difficult are hell (I bitched about this when I was playing Epic Mickey). You also have to give props to the serious graphics upgrade from the first Playstation, where everything was polygon shaped and not all games had voice overs. I remember my brothers and I flipped over the fact that it played DVDs when we first got it, lol. Unfortunately, we don't own a Playstation 2 anymore thanks to my brothers (they broke the disk drive). I'm really hoping praying that I will get a Playstation 3 before American McGee's Alice: Madness Returns comes out in June 14th (ZOMGICANTWAIT) .
