Just writing Jesper and Wylan's alternative universe first meeting (for about the 3rd fic in a row. As is my right.) and I realised why I love their meeting in the books so much. You get to see the same scene from both POVs and see what the other person saw. In detail. You get to imagine all the sly looks and tension that is there hidden between the lines of what we are actually told was happening. Why else would they both be thinking the same thing?

I am not sure if Leigh Bardugo did that with the other Crow ships but if she did it doesn't stick out in my memory quite so much. If it's there someone remind me.

You have Wylan's real life POV of Jesper:

Colourful, super hot guy enters the tannery, oozing joy and who speaks to him a bit dismissively, subtly asking if he is new in town, offering to squire him around the place even though he acts like it is the most horrible imposition in the world.

...but in Wylan's head...

This man might murder me.

But forget that, OMG HE HAS THE MOST PERFECTLY SHAPED LIPS I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

From an artistic point of view of course. Nothing else. Nothing to see here.

Rewatching Favourite Scenes:-

The Crown 1x08 – It's a Real Royal Knockout

One of the most human and relatable storylines in The Crown was based on an actual royal showdown between the real Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

The royal couple's argy-bargy was said to have occurred during their Australian tour in 1954, as reported by The Crown’s historian Robert Lacey.

Their row was allegedly caught on camera. According to author Ingrid Seward, a TV crew were secretly filming the chalet where the Queen and her husband were staying.

As shown in the episode, any footage of their argument is unlikely to exist. The film clip was handed over to the Queen, for which she thanked the crew personally.

still deep in my "angels before man" brainrot and after reading @nicosraf's tweet about fan-favourite lines and dislking like 75% of his own writing, i can't not share my own favourites with rafa himself and also everyone else so get ready for a long fucking post

(side note: i haven't reread abm yet, so there could potentially be new highlights once i do reread it)

so uhh yeah it's definitely safe to say that abm is literally my new favourite book now and i've been thinking about it every single day since i finished it a bit over a month ago and i find pieces of lucifer and of michael in every song i hear or every other story i read and i'll never get over them or over how good this book and the writing style is
