Who am I? #1 I ask myself this question every time I'm faced with a hurdle in life. It could be the smallest thing like not being able to open a jar but when I ask myself this it some how gives me so much confidence. So who am I actually? Like I've said before being born and raised in Australia as a Srilankan Tamil has had it's fair share of hard ships. At a younger age I struggled to learn how to alternate between the 2 cultures. My family being very strong with their cultural roots I felt trapped, but as I grew realised there was no need for me to choose between the two. I am who I am, that's both an Australian with a strong Tamil culture. I learnt to embrace my culture and it's traditions. Even though there are a few things I personally don't believe or follow, I am highly influenced by my culture.
