um, i think as a cultural value honor is outdated in many aspects. there are some cultures that still value it highly but to me as a 21st century white person growing up in america w/ swedish roots im not closely tied to, honor is pretty foreign to me. & there is a lot of value in truth. not just cold hard truth, but just being transparent as a person & living truthfully especially to yourself. were all good and bad in different ways & i dont think its possible to aim to be wholly good but it can be possible to strive to become wholly truthful & i think thats something good to aim for
