" i got one phone call and no one else was picking up. you were a last resort. " one, because he hated the idea of proving all the whispers about him correct. and two, because he hated the idea of her using her money to bail his ass out of jail. especially after their most recent conversation about him not fitting into her life. " i'll pay you back. every last cent. "

@fawnout sent 📸 to see four pictures that my muse has taken of your muse: teddy and tate.
1. it was storming outside causing the lights to go out. he cooked them dinner (mac and cheese from the box) and lit candles so they would be able to see one another. for once, he wanted to show her what she meant to him without having to say the words. they ended the night smoking in his garage, staring up at the ceiling pretending they were outside tracing consolations. the pelting of the rain made it easy for her to fall asleep in his arms later that night. when the clock struck midnight, he wished her a happy birthday even though she hates celebrating.
2. came back from one of his shows. she was high, he was tipsy. the elevators to her apartment building weren't working so they had to take the stairs. she paused midway and he snapped a picture because he'd never seen anything more beautiful. just two friends having fun. except they weren't just friends, were they? and they both knew that when they stumbled into her apartment dripping sweat from having to take ten flights of stairs. he pinned her against the door and when he kissed her for the first time, he grew dizzy. blamed it on the heat, but they both knew they were falling hard.
3. they got caught in the rain and she didn't have anything to wear so he gave her one of his hoodies to keep. seeing her wearing one of his things gave him a feeling he couldn't replicate with anyone else. she was herself. no make up (not that she wore much to begin with), hair dirty, glasses on. she was the most beautiful person he laid eyes on. realized then that he would end up hurting her because nothing good remained in his life. he broke all his rules when he let her spend the night in his childhood bedroom.
4. morning after. she's in one of his t-shirts. at this point, she was starting a collection of clothing that didn't belong to her. he never wanted any of it back because he swears it looks better on her. she was stretching and he doesn't know what possessed him to take the photo but he did and he has it saved under a private folder. he wants to fuck her out of his head, but no matter how many times they find themselves in between his sheets, she's permanently embedded into his skin like a tattoo. later that night, he wrote the song "chemical" (by post malone but let's pretend it's his x).
