Hey there! Sorry to bother you, but I wanted to share something. I'm 21 years old and some times I get uncomfortable by the thought of growing up, because adulthood seems kind of uninteresting some times (it's cliched, I know). But your blog makes it look like adulthood is just doing the same stuff you've always loved to do, only later in life, and that makes feel a little better. So yeah, thanks for being such a cool grown up and sorry if I weirded you out.
this is not a bother at all! thank you so much <3
i think a lot of younger people feel the same way. i was horrified of growing up because all the grown-ups i knew were miserable people. i think it gets more and more important as you get older to make conscious decisions about what you love and how you want to spend your time. but as long as you keep your own joy in mind, growing up is exactly what you say: it's doing all the stuff you've always loved, only later in life.
(and if you are lucky you'll also discover new stuff you love to do that didn't exist when you were younger. like staring at gifs of boys in pop bands. or whatever.)
but also i should say that i hardly ever feel like a grown-up. i just feel the same as i always have, except with more experience and lots more freedom to do whatever the hell i want. which is rad.
