Extremely sad and betrayed

Just realized that some one I thought of as a close friend agrees with people that think the people of Furgison are "3rd class barbarians" and that the only thing protestor are doing are "living up to the getto stereotype" She's millitary, so I can get her loyalty to the polece force and that, but that kind of racest and hateful talk and mindset, I never expected that from her and I will not be associated with some one so full of hate. she is not the person I thought I knew, not anymore at least.

Surprisingly, despite my absolute knackeredness, I managed to enjoy this session despite the seemingly regular appearance of ads.  In fact, I was rather happy that the first add hadn't appeared until post #27... but then it seemed they appeared all to regularly after that.  I mean, look at these numbers:

It pretty much seems that ads appeared every 7, 8 or 9 posts after the first appearance.  Rather annoying, it was.

Still, the posts that I became the most enchanted with continued to be personal posts and random thoughts that just ended up in the 'verse.

 *One friend uploaded a poster... but there was no link or share associated with it so I counted it as a personal photo.

#Seven photo posts were not from friends but a friend was tagged in the post or the photo - and so each appeared on my feed.

**One post from a friend was a personal advertisement for an associated business.  I still counted it as personal.

28 Aug 2014 - Mobile

No captures or detailed breakdowns of today's feed except to say that by the end of the half-hour I was all the way to where yesterday's like project began.  It makes me wonder how many posts from my many interesting friends that I am missing... and how fb determines whose posts I see more often.  

Anyway, after yesterday's session on the computer I became a little over-sensitive to the amount of advertisements and feeds that appear on my mobile fb.  I love the feeds that I get because I chose to get them... I hate the app advertisements - and the other advertisements, too.

I feel as though I am seeing far more comment-based posts than photo/ video/ article shares, which is a positive thing for me.  Still, I LOVE some of the poster shares and ache that I cannot "like" them during this project.  Still, I am surprised at how interesting it is to scroll through and read the straight comments.

I am not just "liking" all the personal posts, I am also reading / looking at many of them.  I'm still commenting on them and "liking" comments that do not include their own attachments (such as non-personal photos or links, etc).  However, I mostly read the comments and occasionally stop to take a look at the photo collections.

I have managed, so far, not to follow any facebook links even when the article seemed deathly interesting!  I am so proud of me!

Day 6 of 30. 

One note.  I mentioned the sensitivity to advertisements earlier.  What I meant to point out, before getting side-tracked as so easily happens, is that 

(1) No app adverts on browser fb

(2) Advertisements are less frequent on browser fb

(3) Advertisements seem more specific on browser fb

(4) Shared photos/ videos/ links seem more prevalent on mobile fb... especially for articles

(5) FEEDS on browser fb seem significantly reduced, but not so on my mobile fb

...after 20 minutes I ran into posts that I had already LIKED... just when I viewed them on the computer.  After several consecutive repeats, I ended the scrolling.  20 in or 30.  Still not bad.

Notice a trend?  A LOT MORE ADVERTISEMENTS and SHARES appear on my mobile newsfeed.  I am not sure if the SHARES are due to who is on at what time or if the algorithms being used for mobile feeds favors them.  Hmm.

I was unable to even begin my facebook purge activity yesterday.  I will do a full half hour on facebook on my computer and another half hour on my mobile today.

FB Scroll 8/25 10:30-11:10

I spent the entire 35 minutes of today's like project on the computer.  I was pleasantly surprised by how few advertisements I saw.  It also seemed, and 'seemed' is not an accurate measurement I am aware... it also seemed that there were more personal posts and less re-posts of video and posters.  I also saw posts from people that I (may have even) forgot were on my friends list!  A couple names jumped out at me.

So, saying that, let me itemize:

10 x personal commentary

12 x personal photo (5 with, 2 without commentary)

2 x multiple photo uploads (1 with, 1 without commentary)

1 x advertisement... first one appears after the 10th post.

I'd say that's pretty good!
