The weekend is almost here

Has Easter left you wanting more but annoyingly being restrained by the few cents left in your bank account? Well have no fear, the daily rat is here to guide you through a weekend filled with fun, free and fantastic events.. The first: For those born, partied or whose 'best years' were the 1980's, this is for you. The next installment of FBi social's "ROBOPOP" is happening on saturday night- all the best pop, pop-hop and indie pop classics to get you up and jiving! Entry is free- so grab a mate, find some loose coins (enough for a house wine or spirit) and come on down for a night bound to make you feel young again. Next: put your hand up those who still use vinyl or cd's- I guess dj's are the only ones? Weeeellll....it's record store day in Saturday. But as many of us would just turn our noses up to this event- the Annandale hotel has decided to throw a party! They will have bands, dj's, live art battles, rhyme the vinyl, record cover comps and all the cheap drinks and $2 dumplings you could want. Feel like going on an adventure? Head on down to wool longong's Keira mountain for some seriously extreme sport action. They wear helmets, they aren't scared of Lycra-full-body-condom-esk outfits, they know how to get your heart rate pumping and they aren't cyclists (phew!).. They are downhill skateboarders and boy do they know adrenalin. Round one starts this weekend.. So go support these dudes challenge the perils of asphalt when hit at 80km an hour. And for those who do have a little extra to spend, here are the sales on this week: Sass and bide warehouse sale @ the entertainment quarter, 12pm-3pm, ends on Sunday. Mink pink warehouse sale @ 103-107 foveaux street, surry hills, 7am-4pm, starts today finishes tomorrow (Saturday). Didn't go crazy over Easter, so have a few spare dollars, annd love a good live event with an edge of competion and risqué behaviour- Then miss burlesque Australia:grand final is where you need to be. On Saturday night at the enmore theatre from 7pm. Tickets are $69 for an adult, $59 for groups of 4, orrrr got 5 other friends? Get a table for 6 at the asking price of $354. Whatever you do this weekend, enjoy yourself.. The daily rat will be out and about so if you spot a little rat scurrying across the street in Paddington- acknowledge it's probably me, or one of my footmen,doing some investigating and research for next weeks' posts!
