@vilestblood:
Casually kisses Laurence's bare shoulder 💋
And cue a soft moan as he leans on the touch. Whatever, it’s sunday.
why do people fall in love with you?
because you make them happy
falling in love with you is as easy as breathing. you make everyone grateful to know you and loving you is a privilege. the only greater privilege is to be loved by you
@vilestblood:
Ok, but I do wanna know how an ideal day would be for the Dickar. 👀
[ to be quite honest, I thought about this for a while. I thought about how the Vicar often complains about wanting more time for himself and to be free to do whatever he pleases. Just one day of freedom, pretending he doesn’t have the entire town on his shoulders.
Maybe, at first, if someone asked him that without giving him too much time to think, he’d answer that -- wake up late and get out in town, spending the day with his friends doing things someone on his position shouldn’t. Little pranks. Running around the rooftops. Stealing fruit from the trees and spend hours and hours lying on the grass, making stupid jokes and drinking all night and sneak into bed at the first hint of dawn. In a way, remembering his rebellious days in Byrgenwerth, just with much less consequences for his actions.
...but to be honest? That wouldn’t truly be ideal, would it? There would be consequences; it wouldn’t be like it used to be; it would just make him feel nostalgic for a life that, all things considered, he’s glad he left behind.
Truth is? His ideal day would be just a day in which he doesn’t have to see anyone cry.
No hunts. No deaths. No grieving mothers on their children’s graves, no orphans crying in his arms, no experiments to find a cure.
Wake up at dawn. Have your breakfast. Have your masses. Spend the day reading and studying not for necessity, but for curiosity. Share a prayer with your people whenever they enter the Church and accept nothing but their hopeful smiles as a thank. Go to sleep and not get riddled by nightmares and doubts and regrets.
That would be ideal. ]

✘ If you could end the beastly scourge by sacrificing yourself, would you do it? [ hes honest for once (1 time) ; 5/10 ; ACCEPTING ]
“Yes.”
No hesitation. No thoughts. He would gladly give up his own life for his town.

☕!! for jacques but also for itch if you feel like it 👀 [ tea time ; ACCEPTING, SELECTIVE ]
“Two cups...” he lifts an eyebrow, taking the first one - black tea, still fuming, much more inviting than the other one - and takes a sip.
“It tastes like mornings.” he murmurs, thinking about it “A simple lemon tea, not too sweet but not bland either. It has a familiar taste.” It’s almost sad to put down that cup to lift the other one - smaller, colder, of an indefinite color. The sip this time makes him grimace.
“:..it’s like someone put many different bags in the same cup and left them there for a day. I can’t really understand the flavor.” still, he takes another shot at it mostly out of curiosity, just to groan again “Way too strong.”

Well, this is... quite the twist. Creighton was always quite the mystery, for him. A loyal and faithful person, and at the same time someone terribly hard to handle, mysterious yet brutally honest. For that... maybe the Vicar shouldn’t be so surprised he pointed his axe at him. Maybe Laurence should’ve expected that overly moody man to snap.
And yet... he stands there. Silent, weighting his possibilities.
Trying to sound as polite and calm as possible as he lifts both hands.
“I assure you that isn’t necessary.”
...hm. For some reason, he feels like it’s not exactly the right choice of words, after all.

✘ " Do you always hand out these blood vials to outsiders like myself, or am I just 'lucky'? " 8) [ hes honest for once (1 time) ; 9/10 ; NOW CLOSED ]
“If an outsider is injured or sick, they’re allowed to have a vial. I may not like it, but I won’t stay and watch as an innocent person suffers.”
