inter and atletico madrid are planning on playing a friendly in israel on august 8. BDS Italia, an italian pro-israel movement focused on Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions is asking people to help boycott the game by joining 200+ palestinian sport clubs in writing to the two clubs not to play it. they’ve already managed to stop barcelona from playing a friendly against an israeli football club. we can all help palestinians by simply joining this cause.

here’s some info, it’s in italian, i would translate it all but honestly i’m very low on energy right now. it explains the situation and that their goal is to stop the game and how you can help with that. you can click on the tweet link to tweet @ inter and atletico, the tweet is already written and you just have to send the tweet with your account. the tweet says: “in may israeli soldiers killed 16yo palestinian Said Odeh. his club Balata FC is among the 200 palestinian clubs asking @/inter and @/atleti to cancel the “friendly” in apartheid israel."

here you can send an email to inter and atletico, this is already written as well, all you have to do is write your info. again, i don’t have enough energies to translate it all (sorry!! if there’s any italian speaking person who wants to translate everything i haven’t, please do) but the email mentions the atrocities committed by israel in may and how good it was to see a number of clubs and players take a stand in favor of palestine. it then says that playing a friendly in israel would be a step in the opposite direction and would send a message to israel that they can keep oppressing millions of palestinians without any consequences. the email ends with a plea to do the right thing and not play the game.
