I had a shower thought the other day about the Pagan Control DLC in FC6,
Does Pagan see Ajay as a stereotypical American douchebag? It would explain why Ajay sounds like a cheesy frat-boy if it's all in Pagan's mind as opposed to what and who Ajay is written like as a character, right?
Like it's probably not intentional, sure... But.
Pagan practically talks at Ajay rather than to him a lot of the time, so maybe Pagan never internalized what Ajay actually sounds like while being so caught up in what Ajay represents to himself and Ishwari, as well as Kyrat? Some dumb frat-boy that came into the country living a good life of luxury in a "first world country" rather than a guy probably living underneath the poverty line with a single mother struggling to make ends meet until she gets sick and dies.
Also, another thought now: is it possible or likely that Ajay joined that robbery prior to the game in order to help pay off medical bills for his mother? Like, it's definitely not implied anywhere, but couldn't that theoretically be the case? I'm assuming she died from a terminal illness, but Idr tbh.
Anyways, late night shower thoughts! Yay!
