I found this text based humor story on Reddit, as well. This story is a believed true recounting of a prank by the Original Poster that went horribly wrong. I really thought this was somewhat funny because it combined a distortion of reality in the fact that the poster elaborately created a situation that made his friend actually believe that America was under attack. Another reason I thought this was funny was because of how bad it went, with the friend escaping and then the poster ultimately having to tell his friend that it was simply a prank.

 I found this image on Reddit. I initially thought it was humorous for its irony factor, mainly because the drugstore is selling baked goods, that are extremely high in fat and sugar, for a diabetes research fundraiser. I would say it represents a ironic or maybe dark humor genre of comedy.

 I picked Weird Al Yankovic’s White and Nerdy music video because I believe that Yankovic has really perfected the humor and comedy field of music and sound. White and Nerdy is a very popular example of parody music that Yankovic creates and has been around (and still funny) for many decades.

I picked this video for a number of reasons. This video is funny to me because it blends reality with comedy, in a way that is both foreign and accustom to the “morning zoo” talk shows. The premise of the video is the cast of WMMR’s Preston and Steve hosting their show while inhaling sulfur hexaflroide, which like helium, can produce funny effects on your voice. The funniest part is where they sing common songs and you can visually see the reaction from those in the studio.

 I thought this video was funny because it was independently made but also because it is very relatable in some ways. Like the way the video starts with the person stuck in traffic but he decides to play with the horn, which eventually turns into a honking war and drum solo. Another funny part is the ending which was really somewhat unexpected.
