This world is driving me insane..
I was just scrolling on Instagram, again.. and after a while I've found a new playlist on Spotify. I started listening to it. The second song got to me. Something about this deep manly voice, I really liked. Searched for the page of the artist, liked some other stuff.. but there was something.. I couldn't really put my finger on it. Something felt off. Looked into it a little deeper only to find that all these songs were AI generated. I'm shocked to my core. I feel sick to my stomach. Not music, not the one thing that speaks the language of my soul. Tears filling up my eyes as I'm writing this. AI slowly taking over the online world is truly heartbreaking to me. Up until now I was always able to pick original work from AI, especially graphic stuff. But this shook my to my core and send a dark, cold shiver down my spine. As if the world isn't fcked enough already.
Listening to 'Prelude to a Soul' right after comforted my soul. Knowing that AI will never be able to speak to my soul like that. Because it lacks the most important thing.. emotion and human experience.
I guess I'm writing this because I don't want to be discouraged by these strange and cruel times. If anything a fire burns inside of me to create more. To share a spark of hope that there is still humanity online. And my message to you, if I may share it, is keep sharing your art. Art is pure and made in the moment and far from perfect. That's what makes it art. Let your soul speak and follow your heart, always.

On July 26, 2023, Düsseldorf artist and musician Sven Vieweg invited me to his studio to participate in his long-term project Elektrohorror. A not insignificant part of his studio consists of a rather large synthesizer park (mostly Russian Soma and Japanese JMT devices), which comes in the form of a ghost train: the set-up of the Elektrohorror project. Since industrial noise is not exactly one of my favorite genres, I had decided to just throw my usual guitar material against it. The result has become quite exciting under the conditions of spontaneity, at least for my ears. There are a total of three takes of our cooperation documented on Elektrohorror's Vimeo channel. Currently I like Video Part #03 the best. This article was created without the help of artificial intelligence. From human to human. From me for you.
