        Hope tossed herself onto the couch rather DRAMATICALLY, and then groaned into the cushion before she rolled over and looked up at the ceiling. “I gotta tell you, I’m desperately in need of literally anything to get my mind off of school and monsters and just...all of it. What is there to do for fun around here? We can get in trouble if the mood calls for it, promise.”

It was the voice that first drew her attention and she scanned the area before her eyes locked on the brunette she had gone so long without seeing. Part of her was happy to see her alive and well, part of her felt betrayed, but unlike her half brother, Rebekah was much more forgiving when it came to such matters.

      Elijah tsks lightly, looking down at his utterly RUINED shirt. Yet another expensive suit ruined. He looks up when he hears her words, humming softly as he reaches for his handkerchief. “So it would seem.” He tilts his head, wiping the blood from his chin and throat. “But a necessary one. They grew a little too bold in character.”

“While regret is something our family feels in abundance, it’s fortunate that you have been spared.” Their family was far from perfect; some thought that the M.ikaelsons could be the poster example of a dysfunctional family. They hurt each other to the point that their oldest brother was left to languish in a coffin, alone, for nearly a thousand years. But deep down all that cruelty and violence and death was the undeniable fact that they eventually came together against a common enemy. Always and forever. And if Leah was the only one spared the brunt of their family’s misdeeds? It was something he could and would never hold against her. A step was taken towards his youngest sister, but no more than that. “Though I wonder if you have developed an excellent singing voice as a result.”
