It’s the start of the 2nd Quarter 2019 Inuyasha Fandom Awards!!
A huge shout-out to everyone who participated last quarter and made it such a huge success! We hope you’re ready and prepared with amazing new fanfiction and fanart to share with this beautiful community and spread the love!
Before we get started, there have been a few changes that have been made during our hiatus.
One major change is that @meggz0rz is stepping down from being a moderator at this time. She was such a large part of getting this beloved award ceremony off the ground, and we will always hold a mod spot open for her should she wish to immerse herself back into the fold.
However! With her parting, we were gifted with two new moderators that are sure to help make this award ceremony run just as smoothly! Please welcome @umacaking and @sssuperbartola as wonderful additions to your mod-team! Feel free to ask them questions or head on over to our “Meet the Mods” tab on our blog!
We also want to give a special shout-out to @bearpluscat for being so generous with assisting us in creating the award banners for last quarter. Truly a blessing to this fandom!
There are also some changes coming to the process itself that may effect you as nominators:
There will no longer be a Yaoi/Yuri category for the Fanfiction section. This was partially caused by the low participation last quarter received.* However, we have replaced the category with Best Crossover Fiction instead.
The Yaoi/Yuri category for Fanart will remain intact, but the name will now be changed to M/M & F/F. The same definition applies.
Each category will now have a limit of 7 nominations per category. This is to help ensure that new authors and artists are able to be recognized more easily, as well as not to use up all the latest works out there in one quarter. Once a category reaches its nomination limit, any subsequent nominations will be disqualified, and we will create a post to notify everyone. This way people can hold onto those nominations for the following quarter.
Since this is the 2nd Quarter, there will be rules implemented for those who won during the 1st Quarter. Please head on over to our Past Winners tab to review those who won in the past.
A Winner Ban has been implemented. This means that fanfiction and fanart cannot be renominated into the categories where they won an award for three consecutive quarters (ie: one year since they won in that category). However, these works are allowed to be nominated into different categories, as long as it fits within the definition of that category.
As always, us mods continue to encourage you to nominate new artists and writers in order to spread the love throughout the fandom.
We are now also live on FF.net, so please feel free to keep in touch with fanfiction winners there!
If it was not mentioned above, chances are it hasn’t changed. You can read up on the most recent FAQ’s, Rules of Eligibility, and Categories for more information.
The 2nd Quarter nomination period will be from October 1st until the end of the day October 15th! Please send your nominations through the submit button! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to send in an ask or reach out to one of the mods!
Please reblog to spread the word of the start of the new quarter!!
*Categories are subject to change before the start of each quarter pending participation and requests.
