While Rodolphus was exceedingly close to Alecto, his relationship with Amycus was a little less so. He respected the wizard, of course, but they didn't have the opportunity to grow as close as he had with the other twin. With Alecto having finally wed Rabastan and the birth of their twins it gave Rodolphus the chance to run into Amycus more often.
